Fermeate Joins the BEAM Circular Accelerator's Second Cohort
Fermeate has been selected for the second cohort of the BEAM Circular Accelerator, powered by gener8tor, advancing circular bioeconomy innovation in California's San Joaquin Valley.
We're excited to announce that Fermeate has been selected for the second cohort of the BEAM Circular Accelerator, powered by gener8tor. The program brings together biotechnology companies driving innovation in California's circular bioeconomy, and we're glad to be part of this year's class.
About the Program
The BEAM Circular Accelerator is a 12-week hybrid program based in California's San Joaquin Valley. This year's cohort was selected from more than 200 applicants, with five companies chosen to receive:
- $100,000 in grants and incentive funding per company
- Access to 100+ mentors and investors
- Connections to leading bioeconomy companies and academic institutions
- A showcase opportunity at BioCatalyst 2026 on May 21st in Lodi, California
The program is sponsored by the Almond Board of California and the CA Jobs First initiative.
Why This Fits
The BEAM Circular Accelerator is focused on reducing waste and building more sustainable biological production systems, a natural fit for Fermeate's technological capabilities. Our optogenetic platform helps fermentation producers get more out of every run: higher yields, better feedstock flexibility, and fewer losses from genetic drift. More efficient fermentation is, at its core, less waste.
What's Next
We'll be participating in the full 12-week program and presenting at BioCatalyst 2026 in May. We look forward to the connections and conversations this cohort will bring.
